A Rose Is A Rose

You've probably seen some glitter tattoos on TV, but did you know that Art Glitter now carries that body glue and tattoo stencils?  A couple of weeks ago I did a post to show how easy it is to do the body glitter tattoo, but now I have a great way to re-use the stencil.

For this project I used:   Art Glitter Rose Tattoo Stencil (used), Ultra-fine Glitter (#299 - Celery, #48 -  Emerald, #324 - Country Red, #355 - Sunrise, and #86 - Angel Dust)  Clear Scraps mini-album page - Deco, Tombow multi-purpose glue, spray adhesive, Beacon Zip-dry adhesive, Lime green Copic Marker, Pink Chevron paper and Pink paper from Basic Grey's True Love collection, Card blank (from Staples), Stamp from Red Rubber Designs (Friendship Blocks), Staz-on Black Ink, Rhinestone swirl from Want2Scrap's Build Your Own Bling, Light Green Swiss dot Ribbon, Viva Decor Glitter Pen - Lime, a couple of small paintbrushes, a soft brush or make-up brush.

Remove the protective plastic from the acrylic page and center the tattoo stencil.  Press down completely to make sure there are no ripples or gaps between the stencil and acrylic.

Put a few drops of Tombow multi-purposed glue in the open areas of the stencil and brush out with paint brush.  Be sure to cover all of the exposed acrylic with glue.

Remove the stencil and set aside for future use.

Once glue is dry (clear), dip a clean, dry brush into Emerald Green glitter and pick up just a little in your brush.  Carefully brush it onto the wide ind of the leaves.  Clean the brush by brushing on paper towel or cloth.  Dip it into Celery glitter and brush the glitter onto the rest of the leaves.  Clean your brush again, and brush the Country Red glitter on the inside edges of the rose petals.

Brush Sunrise Glitter over the remaining areas of the rose.  Use a soft brush or make-up brush to brush away excess glitter.

Turn acrylic over and spray with spray adhesive and dust with Angel Dust Glitter.

Still working on the back of the acrylic, use a lime Copic marker to color the glitter around the edge.

Assemble the card by layering pink and pink chevron paper.  Wrap with lime ribbon.
Add sentiment stamped on a piece of pink paper.
Glue Pink stack to the card base.
Glue Acrylic piece in place.
Add Swirl of Rhinestones from Want2Scrap
Add bow at the top corner of the acrylic.
Finish with dots of Glitter Pen in corners of pink card and on the points of the acrylic.
