Spring & Summer Dress Up

Every girl needs a fun, new wardrobe for the spring and summer no matter what her age.  This is a great way to dress up those plain clothes and create new ones.  Plus, it adds a little sparkle to those bright sunny days.
Supply List:
1 Pair Canvas Shoes
1 Canvas Purse
Stencil

Heat Transfer Pencil or other transfer pencil for fabric
Glitter:  Sunrise(355) Ultrafine Opaque, Fresh Green (312) Ultrafine Transparent and Lemone (93) Ultrafine Transparent

     Instructions:
Trace the stencil design onto both shoes and the purse using the transfer pencil.  It’s ok if the design is seen because it will be covered later with glue.

Working in small sections, carefully trace around the outside and then fill in the center using the Ultrafine Metal Tip on the Fabric Dries Clear glue bottle.  Sprinkle the glitter on using the Spoon Man!  Spoon.  Allow to sit a minute for glue to set and then tap off the excess glitter onto a paper or tray to put back in the jar.

I like to find a way to use my tools in different ways. For the edge of the purse,  you can use a tear edger or a piece of paper that has been punched or die cut into a strip with a wavy edge.  You can, also, choose a different type of design such as a scallop or something you’d like to complete the purse edge to create your own tool.

Place the tool at the edge of the purse and using the glue bottle with the metal tip, run a glue line along the tool’s edge.  Remove the tool and sprinkle the glue line with glitter.  Allow to set up a little and remove excess glitter.

Allow all the glue to dry and they are ready to wear!

  3. Hi Stamping Sue! Yes, the glitter holds beautifully in the wash once it is heat cured. The directions are on the back of the glue bottle and here: http://www.artglitter.com/techni.htm#fabric Thanks for asking!
