Globecraft Memories and Art Glitter

Today's project is in collaboration with Globecraft Memories & Piccolo. I was able to make a beautiful necklace using Art Glitter and Globecraft products!

Products Used:

Art Glitter
- Designer Dries Clear Adhesive
- #525 Brocade Microfine Opaque Glitter
- #335 Sun Ray Chunky Opaque Hologram Glitter
- #79 Black Ultrafine Opaque Glitter

Globecraft Memories & Piccolo
- Piccolo Flower Drop Charm Set (F012)
- Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze
- Cool-Set Enamel Gel in Cobalt Turquoise
- Vintage Gold Bail for Attaching Charm to Necklace
- Black Real Silk Cord Necklace with Lobster Claw Clasp

I started with the Drop Charm Set and used one of the smaller charms. I then used the Cool-Set Enamel Gel on the flower petals and let completely dry.

Then I used Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and applied it the swirls. Then applied Black Art Glitter.
Next was to make the center of the flowers. I placed small dots of Designer Dries Clear Adhesive in the center of each flower. I used the Chunky Opaque Hologram Glitter and covered the dots and shook it off. I LOVE this chunky hologram glitter!
Last on the glitter part, I used Microfine Opaque Glitter for the border. I brushed Designer Dries Clear Adhesive onto the border and covered it with the glitter, shook it off and brushed the access off the rest of the charm. I love how all the different types of glitter look together.
I let it all dry then added Glastique Gloss over the entire charm.
I let it dry, then flipped it over and coated the rest of the charm with Cool-Dry Enamel
I added the bail and necklace cord to the charm and put it on!

This was such a fun project. I have always wanted to make jewelry, but had no idea where to start. Globecraft Memories made it super easy to make my own pieces, and even better that I could add Art Glitter to the piece to make it truly one of a kind!

Be sure to stop over at my personal blog, http://oneheartscrapper.blogspot.com to see another project using Art Glitter and Globecraft Memories!

Spooky Spider Ornament with KC

I HATE spiders!!  But as much as I hate them, I really can't stand the sound of squishing them.  I have been known to trap them under a glass or something until I can convince someone else in the house to kill them.  So for a creepy little Halloween decoration, I have encased this little guy - web and all!

For this project you will need:
From Art Glitter:  Ultra Fine Opaque Glitters - #79 - Black, #299 - Celery and #314 - Dew Berry, and,   of course, Designer Dries Clear Adhesive (DDCA)
From Globe Craft Memories:  2 Clear Globes/bubbles and  2 oval frames from DIY Portrait ornament Kit.
Other supplies:  ATC from Clear Scraps Acrylic, Spider Web Stamp.  Purple Stazon Ink, Black Ribbon, 4 Ribbon Sections from Want2Scrap - Fleur de Lis, Black ribbon for hanger. 2 Plastic spiders from dollar store Halloween decorations.  (if you can't find plain spiders, you can cut the ring part off 2 spider rings)
Use an old paintbrush to paint DDCA on the spiders

Sprinkle the spiders with Black Glitter while the glue is still wet.  Set aside to dry.

Stamp the spider web in the center of the acrylic ATC card using Stazon Ink.

While the ink is still wet, sprinkle with Dew Berry Glitter.  Let the ink dry completely before brushing excess glitter off.

Lay one of the Globe Craft frames on the acrylic so that the web is centered.  Use a Sharpie to trace outside the frame on the acrylic and then trim off the excess corners.

Brush one side of the frame with DDCA

Using a small spoon sprinkle Dew Berry glitter around the inside of the frame.  Tap off the excess.  Then cover the rest of the frame with Celery Glitter.  Repeat on the other frame.

Use DDCA to glue one spider to the center of the web.

Glue the frames to the Globes.  Glue one of the frames over the spider & web.

Once both halves have dried, glue them together - sandwiching black ribbon at the top to create a loop for hanging.  Trim the 4 sections of the Fleur de Lis ribbon.  Glue one at the top of the ornament and position one at the back so that the tops meet.

Glue two more at the bottom.

Glue the second spider at the top as if he is trying to free his buddy.

I find spiders just a little less creepy when they are covered in glitter!  (the fact that they are plastic helps too)

Globecraft Memories Earrings and Vintage Glass Glitter

Globecraft Memories makes it so easy to use their products I hardly had to think about this one!
I started out with their Butterfly Earrings Set and applied their Metallic Copper Cool-Set Enameling Gel on the backside of the butterflies. This set is small so I just spread the Enamel around with my finger then let dry.
Then I decorated the front sides with Art Glitter Fine Vintage Glass Glitter and Glass Beads applied with Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. I just love the look of the Glass Glitter, but I usually don't use it with jewelry, except...
Globecraft Memories has a great sealant, Glastique Gloss that seals in the color and makes the glass glitter 'safe' to wear! Add some beads and string them together for a fast and easy pair of blingrings!

See how the back side look just as great as the front? I love it! Enjoy! -emm

Happy Halloween With Art Glitter and Globe Craft Memories

Welcome! It's Linda again! Thanks for joining us in this Art Glitter/Globecraft Memories Cross Promotion! I'm sharing a cute little project that takes no time at all to create and it can be made in any theme to fit the occasion! This is so cute tied onto a gift bag or used as a home decor accent hanging from a cabinet knob. Materials used for this project are: Art Glitter Butterscotch Ultrafine Opaque 350 Globecraft Memories Piccolo Decorative Accents: Happy Halloween Harvest HP03 Ranger 2" Memory Frame Ranger 2" Clear Glass Black Acrylic Paint Xyron 2.5" Create-a-Sticker Manilla Tag 6" strip of black ribbon Type-written or stamped BOO on white card stock 2" square of Halloween-style scrapbook paper 2" square of plastic packaging or packing tape.

I started with Globecraft Memories Piccolo Decorative Accents Happy Halloween Harvest HP03 set. These cute little accents are made from a quality grade compressed bookboard. This will be sturdier than standard chipboard and hold up well to paint, inks and embossing. I chose to take the quick-and-easy way out and simply painted mine with black acrylic paint. After they dried I brushed them with two coats of Glossy Glastique. This acts as a sealer and gives the pieces a glossy finish. I set them aside to dry. Lay the 2" clear glass on the manilla tag and trace around it with a pencil. Cut inside the lines. Run this square through the Xyron 2.5" Create-a-Sticker to coat the entire piece with adhesive. Sprinkle generously with the Art Glitter Butterscotch. Tap off excess and set aside. Cut each letter separately for the word BOO and ink all edges with black ink. Pop up with dimensional foam tape.
r To assemble, place the scrapbook paper on the square of plastic packaging or packing tape (this protects the back side) with the pretty paper showing out (through the packaging or tape). Layer the glittered paper on top of the backside of the pretty paper. Test placement of painted pieces then glue in place with Designer Dries Clear. Add BOO. Set the entire piece inside the Memory Frame and close up. Add a pretty black ribbon to the top and enjoy! Hop on over to my blog to see another glittery project!
