This  month the Art Glitter designers got to work with Tombow.
I love the true color of these markers they were very easy to work with.

Art Glitter Ultrafine Transparent  # 312 Fresh Green

Art Glitter Ultrafine Opaque ## 263 Bright Gold
Cardstock

twine

I stamped my image onto pattern paper and used the Tombow brush pens to color the numbers.
then I added a bit of glitter to the year of the birthday for some bling. I used the Tombow markers on the little cut out dollie as well. I also outlined my pattern paper
before I adhered it to the card.

Gazebo Christmas Card

Gazebo Christmas Card
featuring
"Northwoods stamps" & "Art Glitter"

Ingredients

This month we are happy to be teaming up with Northwoods!

To celebrate, Art Glitter is having a 15% off retail sale of any $25 purchase.  Just use code NW15 at Check out!

Directions
Step 1
Heather started out by using the Northwoods Gazebo Stamp and the Art Glitter Black ink pad to stamp her image onto white card stock.  Heather decided to go old school, and leave out the shading, and go for a "Retro Look."

Step 2
Heather used # BG45 for the sky, E09 for the trees, YG17 for the Pine Trees, and DR3 for the bows and outer circle (you will see this later).
Step 3
Heather cut out a 3.5" square of the red card stock, then used her Perfect Layers Ruler to cut the piece of red striped paper.  A lace punch by Martha Stewart was used with the Gecko Galz light blue striped paper.  All edges were inked with Ranger's Vintage Photo Distress ink.
Step 4
Heather Flipped her card over and place a strip of the Sticky tape across the Top of the card.  She also attached all her paper layers using the sticky tape.
Step 5
Heather used the Perfect Layers Rulers to size the red striped paper.  She has one end at 1 inch and one at 3/4 inch, where the sides were cut with the 1/8 inch.  She then trimmed her punched pieces (lining them up with the edges of the red square).
Step 6
Heather put a strip of the red sticky tape across the back of the top edge of card, then applied her Red Swirl Ribbon using enough ribbon to create a bow on the front of the card.
Step 7
The Ultra fine tip applicator and Designer dries clear glue were used to add some glue to the bare trees.
Step 8
Heather added Camel Glitter to the bare trees.  Heather turned her stamped image upside down, then used the fine tip applicator to add little commas of glue to the pine trees. You will notice in the photo how there glue has a dot shape with a tail pointing toward the top of the stamped image.  It is easier to get this look with your piece turned.
Step 9
Heather used Amazon glitter on the pine trees, then added more glue to the large pine tree.
Step 10
Heather continued to use the DDCG and UFTA to apply glue to the red bows and to the Gazebo.
Step 11
Then Garnet Glitter was applied to the bows, and Poupon was added to the Gazebo (wood areas).  More glue added to the snow areas (ground and Gazebo roof).

Step 12
Fairy Dust Glitter was added to snow areas.  Then Heather colored the outside circle with the DR3 marker.
Step 13
Heather used the Tombo Foam tabs to elevate her stamped circle image piece from the red cardstock square.  Heather used the Designer dries clear glue without the fine tip applicator to apply larger dots of glue around the edges of the circle.  Then sprinkled on the Garnet Glitter.  She also tied a bow in the ribbon and used more of the red sticky tape to hold it in place on the front.
Step 14
Heather cut a tiny piece of the red sticky tape and placed in the upper left of her card between the red ribbon and red cardstock square, on the blue striped punched piece.
Step 15
Heather attached the ribbon to the red sticky tape, then cut another tiny piece of the red sticky tape and placed in the upper left of her card (refer to photo, kind of hard to see, just below Heather's watermark).
Step 16
Next Heather flipped up the end of the ribbon piece, so that the red cardstock square is fully visible (no ribbon covering).  She did the same for the other side.
Step 17
Heather used the DDCG and UFTA to apply glue to the deep ivory roses and leaf trim.  Little dots of glue were added to the red cardstock square (please refer to photo)
Step 18
Heather did the same thing for all corners of the red cardstock square.
Step 19
Heather added Chamois glitter to all the little dots of glue.  After that dried, she attached the focal piece to her cream card stock card base.  More glue was added to the edges of the card, and more Chamois glitter was added.  A tiny red button tied with cotton candy baker's twine was added under the bow and above the focal circle of Heather's card.
(This is a close up of the top of Heather's Card).
Step 20
Tiny sentiment box "Joy" was placed on the card using more foam tabs.  It was done using the UFTA and DDCG and covered with Amazon glitter.
(this is a close up of the bottom of Heather's card).

ATC?!  What is an ATC?  An ATC is an artist trading card, defined as a miniature work of art about the same size as a trading card.  Now before you disregard this craft as being something you aren't interested in, take a look at this project Clare Dempsey made to document her favorite quotes.  Clare loves books and quotes and has found ATC is a great way to document them.   And Clare loves this art form, because it is the perfect place to play with new paper crafting techniques and blending Art Glitter on a small scale before using it on a scrap book page or a card!  And if you can't throw out your samples because they are just too pretty, this is a perfect way to use them for a project you'll love!  You could use this idea for Bible verses too!
Clare started by folding the book pages in half lengthwise, (see got a book she got a the thrift store, but you could use one in your book shelf).  She then added some patterned card stock from K and Company on the inside cover of the book.  She cut two paper doilies using a Stampin' Up Die, folded them in half and added them to the side of the folded book.  Ooh, looking like a Rolodex.
Clare then covered some chipboard with Art Glitter Designer Dries Clear glue and D56 Dragonfly Dazzlers.  The teal colored letters are K &  Company, matted on blue circles.
Once Clare had her ATC holder, she began to play with the Want2Scrap ATC Tags:  Donna Salazar Designs.  For one ATC, she ran it through the Sizzix, using a Tim Holtz embossing folder and just distressed ink one side.  She then added a quote (To have joy, one must share it. Lord Byron) and Art Glitter Designer Dries Clear Adhesive using the Ultrafine Tip in 183 Blue Angel (lighter blue of rays) and 18 Purple for the center.  The bling is Want2Scrap Navy Blue.

On the other embossed side, she added Piccolo's Vintage Copper Enamel powder and added a quote. Clare has boys and thought this was a great quote to have her boys live by!
For another card, Clare used Art Glitter's Fantasy Film.  She watched the video on YouTube you can find HERE with an Inkadinkado stamp. Don't forget to warm up your iron before you start on silk setting!  And Clare loves the Art Glitter Black Permanent ink!  If you are a serious stamper, she says to give it a try and you'll love it!
She then used the Ultrafine tip and the Designer Dries Clear adhesive to add 234 Turquoise and 183 Blue Angel glitter.  She added a vellum quote (Little by little does the trick. Aesop) and stabilized it with an Art Glitter Transparency sheet.
And the back of the quote holder says "to live by" with more of the K & Company letters.  What a great way to make a place to play and give your family some great life lessons in quotes!

A Card for Every Occasion

There are times when you are in a pinch and need a quick card for something and then there are times when you have nothing to do, but create. Use your creative time to make this quick and easy cards that will wow everyone. This month, Art Glitter and Penny Black have teamed up together to bring more sparkling stamped fun to your creativity.

Supplies Needed:

From Art Glitter:
Fresh Green Ultrafine Glitter
Lemone Ultrafine Glitter
Garnet Ultrafine Glitter
Jet Eye Chunky Opaque Hologram
Black Wing Microfine Glitter
Diamond Dust Vintage Glass Glitter
Spoon Man!  Spoons    http://www.artglitter.com/retail/rtools.htm

From Penny Black:

Also Needed:
4- 8 1/2" x 11" pieces of white cardstock
A fine paint brush
A 1/4" paint brush
Tear Edger (optional)
Acrylic Stamp Block
Ruler

Begin by cutting the cardstock in half to create 8 cards that measure 5 1/2" wide x 4 1/4" tall. Carefully tear approximately 1/4" off the bottom front using a tear edger tool or just by roughly tearing being careful not to tear up the card front.

Stamp the designs from the Wishes stamp set by Penny Black onto the front.

Now the fun begins. Time to decorate! Use these simple ideas to add sparkle to any card.

Flood the centers in small puddles with of some with Designer Dries Clear Glue and sprinkle glitter or Black Wing Microfine Glitter over the puddle.

Using a small paint brush spread some Designer Dries Clear Glue into the petal areas and sprinkle with glitter. In this picture, you can also see how great the Black Wing Microfine Glitter looks after sprinkling it on over a puddle of glue. Be sure not to forget the stems! Run a line of glue down them using the metal tip and then sprinkle with glitter. Outline the edges such as the dots on this stamped image and add some glitter to bring out the image more.

Add special interest to the torn edges by placing a line of glitter along the back edge. Simply use a ruler inside the card to give you a straight edge, spread some glue using a medium width paint brush along the edge (I suggest doing one half at a time so the glue doesn't dry before it is glittered) and then sprinkle the glitter over the glue. Repeat this step for the second half of the edge. Use the metal tip to run a line or more than one along the bottom edge as shown in the right hand picture and add glitter over them.

Here are some close ups of some of my favorites to show you how great the details of these stamps are with glitter added.

This is using the Diamond Dust Vintage Glass Glitter on it.

These Baby Love Glass Beads are perfect for these small flowers.

The shine of the Crystal Glitter combined with the Lemone Glitter make this stamped image pop.

Now it's your turn! Start stamping and glittering so that you have a card for that next unexpected occasion. You can't go wrong when it comes to Art Glitter and Penny Black Stamps. They'll be sure to put a "wow!" in any occasion.
