Authentique, Art Glitter, POOH & TIGGER!

The month of June Art Glitter is partnering with Authentique Papers. The papers are so pretty and the addition of Art Glitter Makes them POP!

Here is what I made with the gorgeous Summer Collection:

It is actually a two page spread for my Disney scrapbook.  As you can see, I used the front and back of several of the beautiful papers.  As for the glitter, I used four different techniques: "painting" with glitter on acetate, glittering letters using Xyron adhesive on the front, the Double Glitter Technique from Dreamweaver Stencils, and the application of Ultrafine Transparent 85 Crystal glitter directly to the page using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.
To "paint" on the acetate, I first copied the images from a $1 coloring book onto regular paper in various sizes.  Then, I chose a size and copied it onto acetate.  I used the Designer Dries Clear and the Fine Metal Tip on all of it. You need to start with the color in the front first.  In all occasions, I used the transparent colors first.  If you want to see a tutorial on how to paint with glitter, check out the post HERE.  The best part about it is that you can always match the colors you need with the variety you can find at Art Glitter.  I have listed the colors that I used under the pictures of the final product.

Just Keep Swimming

Hello all, Kristi here and I am sharing another fun card that was done stamping on acetate and then glittered from the back.  It seems when I get in a mood I really get in a mood!  I did several at once and I love this one.
Supplies:
Stamp: Peddlers Pack
Ink: Staz-On by Tsukineko
Adhesive: Designer Dries Clear Adhesive-Art Glitter with Fine Metal Tip
Various Glitter: Art Glitter (507 Black Wing-microfine opaque, 25 Cornflower-ultrafine opaque,85 Crystal-ultrafine transparent,55-Hot Lava - ultrafine opaque,280 Lime Rind-ultrafine opaque, 44 Kelly-ultrafine opaque ,33 Baby Blue-ultrafine opaque, 68 Suede ultrafine opaque, 110 Taupe-ultrafine opaque, 72 Pink Champagne-ultrafine opaque)
Using the metal tip I apply glue to the back of the stamped image.

I usually go from Darkest Glitter to the lightest so did the black first.

Then I just keep adding the adhesive and the colors.

Keep layering on the glue and the glitter.

Love the sparkle here through the acetate.
 Adding some final touches.
I love this one....makes me think of Finding Nemo!
I finished this off by layering on some cool looking paper and WorldWin Cardstock.
When in doubt...just keep swimming.

Keep on Sparkling!!

Shading With Glitter On Acetate

Hello all, Kristi here to share a couple of fun cards I created using Designers Dries Clear Glue and a lot of Ultra Fine and Micro Fine Glitter! You can do this a couple of ways. I start by stamping the image I am going to "color" in black Staz-on Ink on to the acetate.

This is the stamped image on acetate.  The white is only the paper.

.
These are the colors I am using, 3 purples, three yellow/clear and 2 green.

I start with my darkest color.  Because of the way the glitter is layered, I usually go from dark to light.  I also usually use greens first as they tend to corrupt the other colors  Before I put the glitter down I used a paintbrush and Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.  I also use a very SMALL amount of water with the glue.  It helps the dry time be less. If you apply with the fine metal tip the adhesive it goes on thicker.  I am can also move the glittered adhesive slightly with the brush to blend my colors.

This is with both colors of green and adding the first of the lavender colors.  I LOVE Heather!!

Now  I have added the shades of lavender and moved to the yellows.  I added a hint of Crystal just to add shimmer next comes a little blue just to give the image some sky.

This is the image all glittered!  Beautiful!!!  OH WAIT!!
When the glue is all dry and you flip the image over..this is how it looks! You then need to layer some cardstock and I added a stenciled image with a Dreamweaver Stencil!  This looked like an Easter Card to me so I added the word Rejoice!
Place Stencil.
Tape of stencil with removable tape and get out paste.

Spread the paste on like frosting a cake.

Take the excess off and then remove the tape.

While the paste is wet sprinkle with Martini Glitter.

This is your finished card!

Hope you enjoyed this post.  Make sure and leave a comment!
